Shannon Staloch
Shannon is a Certified Professional Midwife, Licensed Midwife, and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. From Senegal to San Francisco, Shannon has provided midwifery care to a spectacular array of women in all settings from clinics to kitchens. Shannon’s three children were all born at home with midwives in attendance. She received her midwifery degree from the National Midwifery Institute and her license from the California Medical Board in 2008. She passed her lactation boards in 2010.
In order to serve her families and deepen her understanding of alternative health Shannon has taken classes and trainings from the Weston A. Price Foundation, Holistic Pediatric Association, Suzanne Colson at Biological Nurturing, and Aviva Romm’s Herbal Medicine for Women.
Most of her training comes from raising her three kids, birthing them, cooking for them, and enjoying them!

Tanya Walker
Tanya Walker is a CA Licensed and Certified Professional Midwife. She is the mother of 5 beautiful children. She has been attending births for 21 years. She has had the personal experience of hospital birth, home birth, and planned freebirth. She began her midwifery studies in 1999 under the direct guidance of both licensed and traditional midwives. She believes wholeheartedly in the capability of the body and its ability to give birth. She has had the privilege of helping hundreds of families birth in the privacy and comfort of their own homes. Witnessing the miracle of birth and helping people find their innate wisdom and power is my passion. Midwifery has shaped her life in ways she never would have imagined and she is forever grateful to do this work. Additionally, she attended Oregon State University with a focus in Women’s Studies, Science and Anthropology. During her free time, you can find her spending time on the beach with family, hiking, surfing, practicing yoga, dancing, traveling, or listening to her favorite birth related podcasts.

Blyss Young
Blyss Young, LM CPM, is a home birth midwife, childbirth educator, placenta encapsulator and natural birth and family consultant. Through her guidance and love centered approach she supports families to birth in the ways that they feel most empowered. She is a firm believer in intuition, the sacredness and ritual of birth and the power of autonomy in birth. She has studied with both Dr. Stu Fischbein (LA's only home birth obstetrician) and many skilled midwives. She has been fortunate to learn the art of midwifery in addition to the unique skills of delivering Breech, Twins and VBACs. At the heart of all of her work is a deeply rooted belief in the brilliant design of the human body and the symbiotic relationship between baby and parent. She continues to strive to support the sacredness of birth as a rite of passage, in the hopes to resurrect lost traditions that can bring connection to our high tech low touch lives.
